Lithuanian Apartment Price Index, November 2015

The Ober-Haus Lithuanian apartment price index (OHBI), which records changes in apartment prices in the five major Lithuanian cities (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys), grew 0.1% in November this year. The annual apartment price growth in the major cities of Lithuania was 2.1% (a 1.7% increase was recorded in October).
Vilnius, Kaunas, Šiauliai and Panevėžys saw the biggest positive changes in apartment prices recorded in November. Apartment prices in Vilnius grew 0.2% with the average price per square meter reaching EUR 1,325 (+2 EUR/sqm). In the past 12 months, the prices of apartments in Vilnius increased by 3.4% and since the last lowest price level recorded in May 2010 prices have increased by 14.8% (+171 EUR/sqm). Apartment prices in Kaunas, Šiauliai and Panevėžys grew 0.1%, 0.4% and 0.2% with the average price per square meter reaching EUR 942 (+1 EUR/sqm), EUR 564 (+3 EUR/sqm) and EUR 531 (+1 EUR/sqm). Apartment prices in Klaipėda remained stable and were the same as in October – 984 EUR/sqm.
In the past 12 months, the prices of apartments grew in all major cities: 0.2% in Kaunas, 0.9% in Klaipėda, 1.1% in Šiauliai and 0.1% in Panevėžys.
